Pen Name

What if you woke up one morning to a knock on the door and a letter on your porch. The letter is covered with stamps and smells like old England parchment. Your name is written in fine calligraphy and carefully addressed. In the left hand corner is the sender's information, but there is only one name,
Darwin.
You don't recognize the name and can't remember the last time you received a written letter. You flip the envelope over and see the words, 'just for you' written neatly on the seal. You open the envelope and find a letter written in cursive with thoughts and words strung together like a daisy chain. Delicate and thoughtful. Somedays the words are happy and give color to the mundane tasks of life. Other days the letters are short, the words powerful. Each day the letters come and there in the return address is the anonymous, Darwin.

Darwin means dear friend. Most people associate the name with British naturalist Charles Darwin. In this particular series Darwin is a fascinating lady with a curious passion for writing the world a letter.

Here are her personal memoirs, thoughts, questions, adventures and words written,

just for you.
